AWAKENING!!

It’s been one year since we welcomed our baby into the world and what better way to celebrate than to look back and share with the world how baby was ushered into this world. Am eternally grateful to God for answering my prayers and blowing my mind through His deeds on that particular day. My pregnancy and birth journey was beautiful, I enjoyed every moment of it. 28th November 2021, birthing life is spiritual and it changed my life forever, as I birthed my baby, a new version of me was born and ushered into the world. I discovered hidden untapped strength, boldness and determination. First it is my culture to write my prayers down, especially those that I know impact my life in a different way. Similarly my child delivery plan and desire were written down. I had purposed that after delivery I would go back and tick off in thanksgiving what God had done. On the Friday prior to the Sunday I gave birth, our church held an overnight prayer vigil and I was determined to attend till morning...

During one of my quiet times,  when calm and peace reigned over my soul, God said to me clearly and as loudly as was necessary; " " My daughter, to achieve anything in life,you got to be intentional" These words have been my life motto ever since. I have thought and prayed through that statement and I continue to glean from it. Draw closer and let me share what I have been able to understand on being intentional.  The word intentional carries with it the idea of being purposeful and consistent in purpose or towards a goal. Life in God is pleasant, its beautiful to connect with the One who owns you, who knew you before you existed and knows your future. The planner, architect and builder of your life. He is a firm foundation in whom am founded on.  There is an assurance in knowing and understanding that in the various seasons of our lives, we ought not to put God in a box, because what He does is exceeding and abundantly beyond what our mind can fathom.  In the past season of my life, I have learnt to ask and trust God to expand my desires and capacity. At the age of 24yrs, I said yes to the love of my life. Our wedding happened not long after I said yes. The wedding was a testimony and God was very involved in it. We both had just completed our theological studies and we didn't quite have a stable income. I have heard lots of advice that say "first get a job then get married" or "Don't get married to a man without a job". First and foremost a job isn't the most important factor before marriage. We are within that new year season and yeah I know a lot of people in Christian circles are talking about the prophetic word for the new year or a verse that's guiding them through the next year and some have written resolutions for the new year. You probably are wondering; how is God speaking to them, if you haven't heard from God as they have you are probably wondering whether you have been left out or whether you are not spiritual enough. Before the the very dawn of first light, the earth was empty. Darkness and lack of order loomed and there was unfathomable void. In all that, God had creative power in Him and eventually, by His words, everything that we see was made. While putting the earth to order, God went ahead and created Adam. He then invited this man He  had made into what He was doing by asking him to name the animals in the garden. This was to show that in man was the same creative power because in that area of naming and identity there was still emptiness and voidness as far as the animals were concerned. Our wedding  was such an important day because it was for the very first time, I kissed my husband infront of both our physical and spiritual parents and our friends, that kiss was and still remains special. It was the best feeling I ever had. Not just kissing but fulfilling a goal that honored and glorified God in my body.  Before I go on and on about our wedding let me retrace steps a bit here.
