"THE ONE" PART 2

Tamara reluctantly looked over her shoulders to the phone on her bed. She knew that both of them might have called or left messages. It is a good thing none of them knew where she lived. This time around she took an off app cab outside the club so there was no way Hans would trace her and neither would Zack. She looked back blankly out of the misty window. She was hesitant about picking the phone let alone turning it on. She wasn’t sure what she would find. Both men had a right to be mad, they probably had talked when she left them and discovered she was seeing them both at the same time.  The ding-dong from the door-bell startled her. She tightened her bathrobes straps.  Zack paced up and down the living room. He almost felt every fiber of the bohemian rug beneath his bare feet. He subconsciously tapped the rim of his whiskey half-glass. She still hadn’t switched her phone on. He has no way finding her if not through the phone. He paced over to the decanter and refilled the glass he h

We are within that new year season and yeah I know a lot of people in Christian circles are talking about the prophetic word for the new year or a verse that's guiding them through the next year and some have written resolutions for the new year. You probably are wondering; how is God speaking to them, if you haven't heard from God as they have you are probably wondering whether you have been left out or whether you are not spiritual enough. Maybe you are wondering how does God even speak all these things to all these people? Well the truth is God desires to speak to His children all the time; and he does actually speak. He has no particular way or particular voice to speak in, He speaks to each of us in different ways, in ways that He knows we wont miss it and we will best understand. All we need to do is quiet down our souls and we get to hear from Him. God is not confined by timings, therefore let not people's timings confine you or put you in a b

The Virtue in Speaking.

Before the the very dawn of first light, the earth was empty. Darkness and lack of order loomed and there was unfathomable void. In all that, God had creative power in Him and eventually, by His words, everything that we see was made. While putting the earth to order, God went ahead and created Adam. He then invited this man He  had made into what He was doing by asking him to name the animals in the garden. This was to show that in man was the same creative power because in that area of naming and identity there was still emptiness and voidness as far as the animals were concerned. In Adam's creative power he named all animals excellently (of course relying on God).  Question is, as you go about life, Are you filling empty and void slots with anything? Is it creative power or destruction that you are using? Do you use positive words or negative words? Words are full of power! Power takes form of the spirit behind it. So your words, depending on the spirit t

JOURNEY TO HONEY;PART 2

Our wedding  was such an important day because it was for the very first time, I kissed my husband infront of both our physical and spiritual parents and our friends, that kiss was and still remains special. It was the best feeling I ever had. Not just kissing but fulfilling a goal that honored and glorified God in my body.  Before I go on and on about our wedding let me retrace steps a bit here. There are these things I want to share with you concerning our journey...  Our courtship. On the eve of accepting to court my now husband, he took me out for dinner. This was not for a celebration but he wanted to set values and principles that would guide our relationship. He was already doing what I desired a man should do. Take charge and set the precedence. Vision has to have parameters within which it will happen. Its usually the leader's initiative to make set the guiding principles for any vision they have.  Let me mention that by the time he asked to take our friendship

I am glad that you choose to check out  this section of my blog. This is where we talk and interact about singlehood, relationships and marriage. I have purposed to share our journey and lessons that God has been teaching us in marriage, because marriage is indeed a journey and we want to open up ours a bit in a way that would be helpful to you. Well Benjamin and I have been married for 2yrs,3mnths at the time of writing. It has been a journey of discovery, laughter, lifting each other up, learning and growth. Few mistakes here and there but we are good.  Since I was a child I always had the desire to get married to a leader, someone who people would look up to, someone with self drive and a different outlook in life. Well I got married to one, Benjamin is an enigma, I just don't know where to start about him.  OUR MEETING As a young 22 year old girl I was in a place where I finally passinately decided to fully pursue purpose like never before. I choose to take a leap o

*THE VEIL REMOVED* I hope you have seen and read through part one  of this blog. You have seen how I had issues with my identity mostly because God was not the primary source of how I saw myself. He wasn't my source of significance. I tried to measure up with people and hence tried to get those things from the outside of me.   Now here is a story from the word that will help us relate; In Mark 5:34 A story is told of the "woman with the issue of blood" as the society called her. You see society and our environment has a way of wanting to dictate who and what we should be. Most times these tags that our environment and society puts on us are so different from what God would want us to know about ourselves. It is interesting that the first thing Jesus does in establishing this healing on this woman is to address the identity issue by calling her  DAUGHTER!! That is how Jesus brings us to Himself and the Father, through giving us an identity and affirmation. That

Growing up, especially in my  high school years, I was having the best time of my life, yet there was this monster rearing its head threatening to consume who God had created me to become. The monster put its foot very cunningly into my life, I didn’t know that the words that I constantly heard when my friends would talk about their fathers were creeping into my mentality and the devil was using them to create a sense of low self-esteem in me. My sister Jane and I never grew up with the opportunity of having our dad raise us or even be present in our lives. My memory of him is vague, but the little I can remember is that he was quite friendly and caring. This is regardless of the differences he might have had with my mother. Down the line, when they both went their ways and I remained with my wonderful mother, I tended to miss him but I could not bring myself to tell my mother, I didn’t know how she would handle it. Fast forward to highs school. We can all relate i

Each journey begins by taking a step, well join me and let's start a journey,  let's walk together as we share what is common to every journey even though we may be walking different paths. The start of a journey is always a beautiful season, seasons are marked by new beginnings, anticipation, excitement, to some it is filled with anxiety and a sense of fear. Its a season that could be marked with mystery and longing. One thing is for sure, you must somehow step out of your comfort zone to start a journey. New beginnings may seem uncomfortable and unfamiliar but as you choose to make that all so important step, clarity comes, the fog clears and suddenly your dreams begin to see the light of day.  I have been meaning to start a blog since 2017 but I kept postponing for the fear of the unknown until this year when I chose to challenge myself and do things that I have never done before. True to the challenge I gave myself, I have done lots of new things and I love the t
